Homemade Hemp Seed Hummus
This homemade hemp seed hummus is not only super simple to make, but it’s also loaded with nutrients that support your body. Chickpeas are an excellent source of plant-based protein, which helps with muscle repair and maintenance, as well as supporting gut health. Hemp seeds are rich in healthy fats, including omega-3 fatty acids, which play a key role in reducing inflammation and promoting brain health. The addition of tahini provides extra calcium, while lemon juice adds vitamin C, supporting immunity and skin health.
This hummus is the perfect, nutrient-packed snack or addition to your meals!
BLITZ ME:
1 can chickpeas (organic, drained)
1/2 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp unhulled tahini
1/4 cup hemp seeds
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
*Water as needed (add this gradually until you reach your desired texture)
We top ours with a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil, a sprinkle of sweet paprika and a handful of chopped parsley.
