Homemade Hemp Seed Hummus

Do you love hummus but you’re sick of buying the store-bought versions filled with nasties? Then this recipe is for you!

Our homemade hemp seed hummus is super quick to prepare and is packed with key vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Chickpeas are high in plant-based protein and are fantastic to nourish the digestive tract.

We love adding this dip to rice cakes, party platters, Buddha bowls, sandwiches, and wraps. It’s so fresh and always a crowd-pleaser.

BLITZ ME:

  • 1 can chickpeas (organic, drained)

  • 1/2 tbsp minced garlic

  • 1 tbsp unhulled tahini

  • 1/4 cup hemp seeds

  • 1/2 tsp cumin

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • *Water as needed (add this gradually until you reach your desired texture)

We top ours with a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil, a sprinkle of sweet paprika & a handful of chopped parsley.
